MENTAl performance sessions

 

Serena provides individual support to athletes, performers, coaches, first responders, exercisers and business executives through one to one mental performance sessions both remotely and in person. In person sessions are located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. One to one sessions can cover a variety of topics based on the athlete’s needs including:

  • Managing pre-performance nerves/anxiety

    The first session focuses on building a relationship with the individual including asking questions pertaining their background, future goals and aspirations, aspects of their performance that they excel at, and aspects that they could improve on. After the first consultation, Serena creates an individualized plan including implementing techniques to help the individual improve their performance and well-being. Serena uses various therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). Each consultations lasts an average of 50 minutes and will be scheduled based on the individual’s needs and requirements.
